If you scrapbook and don’t have a blog, you are missing out. If you do scrapbook and have a blog, you know what I am talking about. A blog is a perfect (and easy) way to share your work with family, friends and the world.
A blog is an online tool which allows you to type up posts (entries) as if you were typing an email. You simply enter a title, type content into the body and attach any images you want to show. Blogs are mostly free, with the exception of some high-end blogs out there.
Some sites that offer free blogs are Blogger.com, WordPress.com and LiveJournal.com. Online blogs are very user-friendly and super easy to set up. Other than finding time to sign up for a blog, there really is no excuse that if you scrapbook, you don’t have one.
Benefits of having a blog are that you can show off your work. Not only are you showing off your work, but as time goes on, people that check to see if you added anything new may learn something or get some ideas. You can also link to your blog from any scrapbooking forums you may be registered for. While you may not stay on that scrapbooking forum where you probably posted all your photos of your projects, your blog will be with you wherever you settle down at next and you will always have your photos on your own blog.
A quick search for scrapbooking blogs in my favorite search engine brings up thousands of results. Here are a few good examples of scrapbooking blogs to check out:
If you don’t have a blog yet, seriously consider starting one. They are quick and easy. If you have one, let me know in the comments below so I can go look at it.
